In the Loire valley, both the castles of Amboise and Chenonceau await us, with an evening pageant at Amboise where a cast of villagers reenact the days of the Renaissance. An enjoyable drive through the countryside will bring us into Brittany, land of the standing stones where the people live by the sea.
